Where to download a Telebirr receipt PDF

How to find the Telebirr receipt link, save a PDF, and check the transaction number before you release an order.

Telebirr receipt link opened beside a saved PDF

A Telebirr receipt download is the link in the confirmation SMS or the receipt you open from SuperApp history. Telebirr does not run a separate PDF website. The receipt page is HTML, and a PDF is a copy you save from that page or from the app.

The page address looks like this:

https://transactioninfo.ethiotelecom.et/receipt/ followed by the transaction number.

That number is the only thing you need to check the Telebirr receipt online. No account suffix, and no Verify.ET account, is required for the check.

Where the receipt actually is

Telebirr sends the receipt in three places. All three point at the same transaction number.

The confirmation SMS

An English message often says the transaction number outright, and many messages include the receipt URL. The code is the last piece of the path:

https://transactioninfo.ethiotelecom.et/receipt/YOURCODE

Some links use a query instead of the path:

https://transactioninfo.ethiotelecom.et/receipt/view?transactionno=YOURCODE

A few messages use leul.et with the code in the reference parameter. Copy that code the same way.

If the SMS is in Amharic, the transaction number follows የሂሳብ እንቅስቃሴ ቁጥርዎ. The letters and digits after that phrase are the receipt number. You can paste the whole SMS, English or Amharic, into the box on the Verify.ET homepage. The homepage reads the link or the number and opens the Telebirr check.

Telebirr SuperApp history

Open the payment in your Telebirr history and use the share or download action on that transaction. The receipt shows the same transaction number as the SMS. The QR on the receipt opens the same transactioninfo.ethiotelecom.et link.

What the receipt page shows

The page is bilingual. The labels are in Amharic and English. A completed receipt includes:

  • Payer name, and a payer Telebirr number that is often partly hidden
  • Credited party name and account
  • Transaction status. A finished payment reads Completed
  • Settled amount, service fee, service fee VAT, and total paid amount
  • The amount in words, payment mode, payment reason, and payment channel
  • Receipt number and payment date

The receipt number on the page is the same code as the end of the link. If those two do not match, stop and ask for the original SMS.

How to save a Telebirr receipt PDF

There is no official "Telebirr receipt PDF" download site. Save a file from the receipt you already have.

  1. Open the receipt link from the SMS, or open the transaction in the SuperApp.
  2. On a phone browser, use Share or Print and choose Save as PDF.
  3. In the SuperApp, use the share or download action on that transaction if it offers a file.
  4. Check that the PDF shows the same receipt number as the link, and that the status still reads Completed.

Keep the SMS as well as the PDF. The link is the source. The PDF is a copy.

A PDF is not proof the money arrived

A Telebirr receipt PDF can be edited, cropped, or sent again for a different order. The amount, the receiver name, and the date are the fields people change. A file that looks perfect can still be an old completed payment.

Before you release goods:

  1. Copy the full transaction number from the SMS, the link, or the PDF. It is a short code of letters and digits, often 10 characters, commonly starting with a prefix such as DET, CHQ, or DAB.
  2. Open the Telebirr receipt check and paste only that code.
  3. Compare the returned status, amount, receiver, and date with the order.

Treat the payment as confirmed when the status is completed, the amount matches, and the receiver is the account you expected. A pending result, a missing receipt, or a mismatched amount is not a reason to release. Screenshot-only checks are covered in the Telebirr fake payment checklist.

Verify.ET is not an Ethio telecom product. The check reads the receipt and shows the fields above. It does not move, reverse, or hold the money.

When you cannot find the PDF

The SMS has no link. Use the transaction number in the message. In Amharic, that is the code after የሂሳብ እንቅስቃሴ ቁጥርዎ. The receipt page is that code on transactioninfo.ethiotelecom.et/receipt/.

The screenshot cuts off the code. A partial number will not resolve. Ask for the full SMS or the full link, not a tighter crop of the same image.

The customer sent a bank slip. A CBE transfer uses a Receipt ID or an older FT reference, not a Telebirr transaction number. Check that on the CBE receipt page. Mixing the two is a common miss.

The status is not Completed. A receipt page with no completed status, no payer, no receiver, or no positive amount is not a finished payment. Hold the order and ask the customer to open the original transaction again.

The PDF is for an older date. Match the payment date and the amount to this order. An old completed receipt is a favorite recycled file.

Check the receipt you found

Paste the transaction number on the Telebirr receipt check. You do not need an account to see the status, amount, and parties. Save the result in a Verify.ET account when the shop needs a history for later disputes.

Common questions

Where do I download a Telebirr receipt?

Open the confirmation SMS and use the receipt link, or open that payment in Telebirr SuperApp history and use share or download. The official receipt page is HTML on transactioninfo.ethiotelecom.et. A PDF is a file you save from that page or from the app.

Is there a Telebirr receipt PDF website?

No. Telebirr does not publish a separate PDF portal. The receipt lives at transactioninfo.ethiotelecom.et/receipt/ followed by the transaction number. Save a PDF from the browser or the SuperApp if you need a file.

What does a Telebirr transaction number look like?

It is a short code of letters and digits, often 10 characters, commonly starting with a letter prefix such as DET, CHQ, or DAB. It is the last part of the receipt link, the receipt number on the page, and the code in the SMS.

My Telebirr SMS is in Amharic. Where is the receipt number?

Look for የሂሳብ እንቅስቃሴ ቁጥርዎ. The letters and digits after that phrase are the transaction number. You can paste the whole SMS on the Verify.ET homepage and it will pick the code out.

Can I check a Telebirr receipt from the link?

Yes. The transaction number is the last part of transactioninfo.ethiotelecom.et/receipt/. Some links use /receipt/view and put the code in transactionno. Copy that code into the Telebirr checker, or paste the full SMS on the homepage.

Is a Telebirr receipt PDF proof of payment?

Not by itself. A PDF is a file someone can edit or reuse. The payment is confirmed when the transaction number checks as completed, with the amount, receiver, and date you expected.
